14. 5. 2018 The Ministry of Transport has today officially launched a competition

The Ministry of Transport has today officially launched a competition to build the missing 32 km of the D4 motorway between Příbram and Písek in the form of PPP project.

"In the three to six year horizon, European funds for the construction of motorways will be significantly reduced. Therefore, we need to prepare for other funding models, such as PPPs. In the future, we would like to build this way where we have a complete stretch of motorway of at least 30 km and where a valid territorial decision is granted. For example, D35 or D6 will be considered" said Dan Ťok, Transport Minister, today in occasion of publishing the public tender for the completion of D4. Candidates can submit their applications for participation by July 2, 2018, then their evaluation and shortlisting of the number of participants to four applicants will be done, based on the number of similar PPP projects implemented. The four consortia with the most relevant PPP projects will then be selected for further negotiations with the contracting authority in the competitive dialogue.
